What is ORCID and how do I use it?

ORCID stands for Open Researcher and Contributor ID. It is a free, unique identifier that you can link to your scholarly work to ensure your research output is connected to you, even if you change your name or if other researchers have similar names to yours.

To sign up, visit the ORCID registration page. To learn more about how to use ORCID effectively, read our page on adding works to your ORCID record or ORCID's Getting Started page.
